A Change of Seasons.

Wow! Warm day here in Massena today! One of the hottest of the Summer so far.

But, the bulk of Summer is behind us now. The colors on the Maple by the Church are a vivid reminder of what is in store for us; a hopefully colorfull and extended Autumn followed by the frigid chill of Winter.

And then it will be time to start engaging in appropriate Winter activities,... like Curling.

Unfortunately there is no progress to report in the quest to resurrect the Massena Curling Club.

Though I still have hope. And, I am still working on it.

Checklists

So,.... what do you really need to start a Curling Club?

Nothing.

Well,... an Ice Sheet would be a good start as would two sets of stones.

Sliders, Brushes, Gear for the Ice.

But really we aren't to this stage yet. At this point I'm only attempting to gauge interest in the sport locally.

Coming Soon To A Ice Sheet Near You!

Several years ago a short lived Curling program was available at the Massena Arena. Unfortunately, it quietly died away.

Well,.... its time to pick up the pieces and bring it back to life!

I've started this little blog at the center point (or should I say button) of my efforts to bring Curling back to Massena. At this point I'm looking for others who are interested in Curling in this area who might want to join in on the fun or at least want to learn a little more about the sport.
